World War II Vet Returns to Camp Adair

On August 2, 2014, Robert “Bob” Victor Nelson returned to Camp Adair with his daughter and her husband. Bob was sworn into the Army when he was 18 years old and spent some

of his training at Camp Adair in the Trailblazers 70th Division. As a skilled musician he was often asked to play for the troops and officers. Meeting and discussing his service career with author John Baker and visiting the Albany Regional Museum was a highlight of the day.   (Click on the above images for a larger view)
